We believe in a sustainable approach throughout the wine value chain that safeguards our community and environment. This includes protecting and promoting biodiversity in our vineyards, the introduction of lightweight bottles and packaging that cuts down on carbon emissions and continuously improving our waste management processes. Bellingham is also WIETA and IPW accredited.

Bellingham is also a proud member of the Old Vine Project, an organisation championing the documentation and preservation of old vineyard sites across South Africa. Formally established in 2016, the Old Vine Project has grown alongside Bellingham, a proud pioneer of maintaining Old Vines and the incredible wines they produce.
Wines that are crafted from Old Vines (vines 35 years and older) are tended over many years. They express the terroir, and landscape, and reflect decades of winemaking history in their soil. The quality of wines made from Old Vines is recognised globally, with Certified Heritage Vineyards across all wine styles, regions, and varieties winning multiple awards.
