The founders of Bellingham wines were anything but ordinary, so it goes without saying that their wines would follow suit.
For over three centuries, the vineyards have been cultivated by pioneers and visionaries that brought the best out of the vines and ultimately shaped the landscape of South African wines.

THE FOUNDERS SERIES
Celebrates Bellingham’s pioneering founders, Fredagh and Bernard Podlashuk, known affectionately as Freda and Pod. Their bold vision not only left a lasting legacy on Bellingham Wines today, but the South African wine industry as a whole.

THE BERNARD SERIES
This pays tribute to Bellingham’s co-founder Bernard Podlashuk’s maverick spirit and determination that shaped the winery’s stellar reputation as well as the South African wine industry today.

THE HOMESTEAD SERIES
Named after Bellingham’s landmark homestead in the Franschhoek Valley which was once home to the colourful Podlashuk couple. The original Homestead was where many successful vinous concepts were born.

HARVEST REPORT 2026
The Bellingham 2026 harvest was an unusually early, dry and fast-paced vintage, with red grapes harvested before the early whites for the first time in 20 years. Despite the challenging conditions, the dry weather kept disease pressure low and produced fruit with excellent concentration, freshness and balance.
Old vines performed particularly well, with the Bernard Series Old Vine Chenin Blanc and Bush Vine Pinotage already showing strong potential. The team also explored innovative winemaking techniques, including ceramic fermentation and wild ferments. Overall, 2026 is shaping up to be a promising vintage defined by precision, balance and quality
